The New York Rangers is a member of the Original Six in the National Hockey League (NHL). They have been a part of the league since 1962 Since they first started, the team was evidently a team to watch. They won the American Division title on their very first year playing. With a great performance in their games, the team gained a huge fan base. In 1929, the team was the first team to travel by plane when they fought against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Rangers was the first American team to have won a Stanley Cup. The sale of the

After the third Stanley Cup win of the Rangers, they stumbled into a losing streak. They didn't make the playoffs in 12 years. It was known to many as the Curse of the 1940. The team won their fourth Stanley Cup in 1993-1994 after being led by Keenan. This brought back all the hype regarding the
